About THE SBA
SBA is the law student government: elected representatives from each class serve as a resource and liaison in matters involving the school administration, faculty, and student services.
Every student at the law school is automatically a member of SBA, this includes all JD students, LL.M students, and CRES students.

Pavan is a third-year law student who is born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Pavan’s legal interests include public interest, civil rights law, and even a sprinkle of family law. Pavan aspires to work in a space where he is able to use high impact litigation to help those who are less fortunate especially those in minority communities who have barriers to legal access. Outside of law school, Pavan is a huge Boston Celtics fan, vinyl record collector, and an avid foodie who is always looking for a good restaurant.
Grant is a third-year law student from Rancho Cucamonga California. Grant’s legal interests include the areas of sports law and litigation. Grant has previously worked in roles at the World Athletics Championship Oregon22 and as a law clerk at Randal P. Hannah, Attorney at Law. Grant's career aspirations include working for National Olympic Organizations as well as working towards more equitable sports laws for athletes. Outside of school, Grant enjoys watching sporting events and snowboarding at local mountains.

Jacy is a third-year law student from Salt Lake City Utah. Jacy’s legal interests include family law and juvenile criminal law. She spent her summer interning with the Juvenile Court’s Guardian Ad Litem’s office representing children in child welfare proceedings. Jacy aspires to be an advocate for children who cannot represent themselves in determining what is in the child’s best interest. Outside of school, Jacy frequents sporting events, wineries, and escapes to Utah whenever she can.

Lauren is a third-year law student from Long Island, New York (who is still devoted to Dunkin' Donuts). Lauren is passionate about environmental law, particularly how to increase equity and community-wide health via water policy and environmental justice. A returned Peace Corps volunteer, she spent her most recent summer interning at the Council for Environmental Cooperation. In her free time, Lauren enjoys rock climbing, exploring the gorgeous west coast, trail running, drawing, reading poetry, and visiting Eugene's many cute coffee shops and breweries.

Austin Spezia-Shwiff is a 3L from Hood River, Oregon. He is currently serving as a 3L representative, JISA Vice President, and is a member of BLSA and the Coalition. He came to law school after a few years of being a substitute teacher, and while he came to law school to pursue a career in criminal defense, he wants to practice in a position that will help with underprivileged. Austin is an avid college football fan and in his free time he enjoys martial arts, biking, kayaking, and playing video games (his FIFA character is tearing up the soccer scene.) Feel free to say hi if you see him around!

Fahhad Almulhim is an LLM student holding a Bachelor's Degree in Law active in Saudi Arabia. With two years of experience as a Trainee Lawyer, he came to Oregon Law to enhancing his legal expertise and learn about the American legal system. His love for travel and exploring the world fuels his passion for immersing himself in diverse cultures. He eagerly embraces new experiences and is an advocate for his peers. Fahhad is a joy to be around, just wait until you get to know him!
SABRINA SAMUEL

Sabrina Samuel is second year CRES Representative for The Student Bar Association. Sabrina was born and raised in Wisconsin (Go Bucks!) and currently works remotely for a personal injury firm. Outside of school Sabrina enjoys boxing, traveling, creating art, and challenging her cooking abilities in the kitchen.

Lexi is a 2L Representative on the Student Bar Association and worked very on the Mentorship Program this past summer. Lexi’s legal interests are in criminal, family, and patent law! When Lexi is not studying, she enjoys playing games, doing cross-stich, reading, and crocheting. Lexi’s current favorite movie is Barbie, but this could easily change as she is always down to watch a new show!

Oprah is a second-year law student from South Florida. Her areas of legal interest include environmental law, international law, and family law. This past summer, she worked in the litigation lab with Judge Kasubhai and remotely for a personal injury firm in New Orleans. Outside of school, Oprah enjoys spending time with her dog, Rocky, and hanging out with friends.
ALEX DE LA CERDA

Alex is a 1L from Los Angeles, California. Alex’s current legal interests include child and family law, specifically as a representative for domestic violence survivors. Prior to law school Alex had a self-ran crochet fashion business and at times sold at flea markets in L.A. When she’s not soaking up the Cali sun nor case briefing, you can find her snowboarding hitting boxes and tail presses at your local ski resort!
MAXWELL GRAVES

Before starting at Oregon Law, Maxwell worked in the Immigration Practice Groups at Fragomen, LLP and Gibney, Anthony, and Flaherty, LLP in New York City. He is currently in his 1L year at Oregon Law, serves as the 1L Representative for his class section, and works in the Environmental and Natural Resource Center as a Fellow. He has a lovely cat named Caleb and enjoys spending his time outside and engaging in physical activity.
